Sadaqah is a voluntary act of charity given purely for the sake of Allah (SWT). It can be offered in any form—monetary, food, or even a simple good deed—and can be given to anyone in need. There is no fixed amount or restriction on who can receive it.
Zakat, on the other hand, is an obligatory pillar of Islam (the third pillar). It requires Muslims to give 2.5% of their yearly savings to eight specific categories of recipients, as mentioned in the Quran (e.g., the poor, debtors, and those in need). Unlike Sadaqah, Zakat has strict guidelines on eligibility, amount, and distribution.
"Even a smile is Sadaqah!" Give generously and earn endless rewards.
